LowFares.com™ Survey Reveals Unexpected Jump in Holiday Flight Plans; 59% of Respondents Consider Flying This Season Versus 41% in 2008
Los Angeles, Calif. October 7. LowFares.comTM, the travel comparison search site for cheap flights, hotels, car rentals and vacation packages, reported today that a recent survey of more than 4,000 travelers showed that more than 59% plan to fly this holiday season, compared to 41% who flew last year. Twenty-eight percent said that they plan to stay local, a dramatic reduction compared to the 40% who planned no travel a year ago.
"The LowFares.com survey shows that consumers are ready to fly again-good news for the travel industry," said Greg Samson, General Manager, LowFares.com.
