Application Support Engineer


Support a real-time revenue bearing infrastructure using knowledge of system administration tools and development.  Bridge the gap between development and production operations.  Face challenging troubleshooting problems and build automation tools to support the team.

 

Responsibilites:

  •  Triage and troubleshoot site impacting issues with databases, cron jobs, and application bugs
  • Evaluate architecture changes for long-term supportability
  • Participate in third tier on-call rotation
  • Write scripts and develop workarounds to monitor and deal with common issues
  • Build tools for the Network Operations Center to utilize in troubleshooting
  • Document and track known issues

Requirements:

  • BS in CS, EE, CmpE
  • Strong technical background in application support, development, or system administration
  • Perl coding experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to grow
